A primary bathroom rebuilt around a large tiled walk-in shower, with the layout opened up and the finishes chosen to stand up to coastal humidity.
This was a bathroom that had been patched more than once. Patching a Florida bathroom rarely works for long, because the problem is almost always behind the tile rather than on it.
We stripped the room, dealt properly with the waterproofing, and rebuilt with a tiled shower and a glass enclosure. The layout stayed broadly where it was, which kept the plumbing costs sensible and put the budget into the parts of the job the owners would actually see and use.
Ventilation was upgraded at the same time. It is an unglamorous line on an estimate and it is the single thing that most reliably keeps a coastal bathroom from going backwards.
