Luxury Custom Bathroom
A primary bathroom rebuilt around a large tiled walk-in shower, with the layout opened up and the finishes chosen to stand up to coastal humidity.
The room worked well enough in plan but everything in it had aged at the same rate, which is when a piecemeal update stops making financial sense. Doing it in one pass meant one set of trades, one permit and one disruption rather than three.
Taking the tile to full height is a small decision that changes how finished a bathroom looks, and it removes the painted band above the tile line that tends to suffer first in a humid climate.
The shower was rebuilt from the pan up, the vanity and fixtures replaced, and the lighting reworked so the mirror is lit from the right direction.
